Light interior cleaner suggestions

Featured Replies

As per title, looking for a light interior cleaner that will take care of the dust and light fingerprint/rain stains, nothing too soiled or persistent, simply the stuff you could just as easily clean with lukewarm water if you weren't into detailing :tongueout:

In addition, I would like it if it left a glossy finish (esp. on the Piano black bits), possibly have some UV protection, but more importantly: If it was something that you could buff with light effort. I currently use some generic interior cleaner that after application leaves a greasy finish so I have to use a second, dry MF towel to remove it, and in some cases I really have to put pressure on it to remove the "greasy-ness" which I hate, as pressure can lead to swirls etc. etc. and it's in fact not needed as my interior is pretty clean in general.

So what would work well for my requirements? More than one suggestions welcome as not sure what I will find more readily available.

PS. Maybe what I'm after is more likely called a "dressing" ? Looking at AutoBrite this seems to be close to what I'm after:

Or this, except it's satin/matte instead of glossy and does not seem to offer "protection"

Anyone familiar with either of them?

I use pink sheen on a monthly basis, only problem with it is that it does seem to be slightly greasy so i only use a little, i dont think that it would work to well on piano black

I also use total from autofinesse which is their multi purpose interior cleaner, it can clean plastics, alcantara, steering wheels etc. A good combination for me is to clean with total first then spray a mf with a few sprits of pink sheen and gently apply that.

Thanks for the feedback. PinkSheen was supposed to be non-greasy according to AB but there you go. Does it take significant wiping with the dry MF to remove it after application? That's what I got now and I'd like to be spared from it if possible.

I like the SuperSheen as it's supposed to be possible to left and dry on its own according to AB, so I guess it must not leave a greasy finish at all. But then again it probably just does that, ie. leave a glossy finish for showing off but not offer any special protection...

On the other hand, I don't think special protection is needed where I'm based. It's not as if the car gets parked for hours under the sun for example.

It can be easily removed by wiping it over with total, i dont think that it offers any protection its main role is to provide a satin finish, i only use it on a monthly basis as a quick weekly wipe with total is enough for me

I always use EZ Sleek interior, it leaves a very clean satin finish, non greasy & since using Sleek for the past 2 years, my dash does not seem to get dusty as quick, there is more effective shift cleaning interior cleaners out in the market for stains like A/F Total but my dash cleans up perfectly fine with Sleek B)
