Hi,

 

Have noticed over the last 6 months+ that when waiting at lights etc I get some almost racing idle,  and quite jerky as if the car wants to go on its own. revs are around 800

In fact sometimes when in gear with the foot off the gas the car will speed up on its own.

Looking at the engine there's still a definite wobble whilst the engine is ticking over, it's like a wave every couple of seconds 

What should I try first to correct?

Forgot to say it`s a 1.6 diesel 60 plate
