Karoq Sat Nav

Featured Replies

Having read the manual for some considerable time I am still at a loss of how, in simple terms, you delete previous destinations in the Sat Nav in my 2018 4x4 diesel Karoq.  You would have thought that it would have been one of the headings.  I know Skoda have an ability to write the  most complicated manuals but finding out how to do this is making Brexit discussions interesting. The other thing  they should have done is make it ossible to see the whols journry step by step as in Garmin and TomTom.

Owner’s Manual p191/2

”Edit destination (the object can be deleted, renamed or saved).”

It’s in my head that you cannot delete the last destination you created. Not sure about this.

Hi Sanqhar

If you transfer from Last Destination to Destinations you can then delete it from Destinations but it remains in Last Destinations.   Deleting from Last Destinations seems more difficult  or not at all.

Hi, not sure if this is right place to post this topic but trying to update my Amundsen Sat Nav in 19 reg Karoq SET, have downloaded update from  skoda portal (having entered VIN number) on to my iMac, expanded the file, tried to copy to SD card and have message - not enough room - so removed existing files from SD card and again tried to copy from computer - still get the same message, do the later updates need a SD card larger than 16Gb?

Any ideas please?

Hi, how did you format it. Try ntfs

Thanks for your input, I didn’t have to format, I just deleted the existing files on the Sd  card and copied the new files across

regards

First of all I hope you took a backup of your SD card before starting?

Previous instructions on the web portal thingy tell you to re-format the SD card. I always re-format mine before copying the new downloaded files over.

Hi Luckypants

I watched the online video and it doesn't mention formatting SD card, just download from the portal, expand the file then load the necessary files to the SD.

I know! The current video does not mention it, that is why I said it was in previous instructions. Search on here for the many threads on this, there was quite a long one.

BTW, that is not the official Skoda update video and I would not be trusting a salesman to tell me anything technical! The actual video you need to watch is on the Skoda update portal.

OK - here is a link to a little guide I wrote after I updated my AMUNDSEN sat-nav the first time. (Note Columbus sat-nav is different)
