The changes are starting but it is dragging out over the next 2 years.

Dundee City are there among the first ones out, leaving Charge Place Scotland for Evolt, so from Charge Place Scotland administered by SWARCO to Evolt owned by SWARCO. HQ,d in the city.

IMPORTANT. The CHARGE PLACE SCOTLAND RFID Card is not going to be of use in many areas pretty soon.

Forfar Orchard Bank parking and EV chargers near the A90, KFC, McD,s, Marstons etc.. Getting busy lots of the time now & people sit waiting and get peed off and leave. This is since the Police Station has moved here and cars are getting plugged in and left for longer than the charging time required on DC and Tethered AC. Cars fully charged and blocking chargers or chargers cut out and no longer charging. Slow speeds now. Often the cars could be plugged in using their own cable on the AC chargers. But those can be fully occupied as NHS / Carers cars now get left here plugged in till the next shifts collect them. Sad really as there are Angus Council chargers near that the General Public can not use.

Lets hope it is an improved and reliable infrastructure. It is certainly not going to be cheap to charge. Hopefully chargers will work after the first £50 is taken off your card and not multiple 'Fail to starts'................ Last week with OSPREY Chargers in Stirling i had 4 x £45 held while trying to get a charge. I was paying 87 pence a kWh there because the app never worked. I was only there because the 4 rapid chargers at Castle View Park and Ride were out of service.

Perth & Kinross & Angus Council seem a bit behind in migrating away from Charge Place Scotland and SWARCO as their maintenance contractor. New chargers are coming, just not as fast as Commercial locations are getting on with things. Several locations do seem to have planning delays though.
