TCS button.

Featured Replies

Found out today that the TCS button does not turn off the traction control. I've tried a quick push, short push and long push, over 10 seconds, but the TCS does not switch off. Any one know of possible causes? How easy is it to get in behind the button? No warning lights car starts and run great. Thanks for looking. Car is a 62 plate 1.4 TSI DSG 48,000 on the clock.

Could be a faulty button or wiring.

You can obviously just replace it and hope but it's probably better to use VCDS or similar to check for fault codes and use the measuring blocks to see if the car can see when it's pressed.

Should be easy to get the button out, the facia around the stereo/hvac panel pulls off, then the button should pop out enough to release the wiring connector.

All sorted. The on/off button was not fully plugged into the socket! God knows how long it's been like that,5 minutes total to do.
