Info display issues-Karoq

Featured Replies

Hi,

my new Karoq 1.6diesel 6speed is 3weeks old and the info display keeps failing and all garage says is do soft reset. It keeps failing. What is going on as Skoda don’t seem to know? Anyone else having this issue?

Welcome.

Is that Main Dealerships that say to do a Soft Reset?

Have them or get Skoda to send out a man / woman in a van to do it.

Or take the car in and have them do it, you have a warranty, they need to fix it, if it is so easy then you will only be there 10 minutes and they can pay your out of pocket expenses for fuel and your time.

A Skoda Master Tech surely knows what to do.  Someone on a phone at a Dealership or Customer Services might not know.

Thanks but Sadly Trust Skoda don’t know what to do as I was on Saturday for a different issue. I will ring, get booked in. It just isn’t good enough.

@Skoffski I think you've been fortunate to have met a good master tech in your motoring life to give them the credit. The one at my local dealer is yet to figure out or solve a single issue from the list I gave them and the car is still sitting there.

My experience with Skoda retailers or repairer is they don't like to spend time figuring out a problem. Their dream would be to get a case where e.g. they see something really obvious like a door has fallen off, they screw a door back on and the customer thinks they've performed a miracle. Give them something that needs proper investigation and hard work and they would rather you bring that curse somewhere else. The impression I get from the way they operate is you give the master tech a list of issues, the master tech makes a best guess and tells another technician to do X for issue 1 and Y for issue 2 etc and that technician tells the customer service person who holds the phone - 'all done'. Customer service person then calls the customer to say your car is ready for collection sir. Customer asks has what you tried fixed the problem and then you get a run down of what they did. Then you repeat the question again did it fix the problem and there's no answer.

Met many.

Plenty well trained and qualified around, just a pity you have not come across them.
