Hi guys, I have recently bought myself a basic Skoda Octavia 1.6 Diesel MK2 Facelift and I decided to make it a project car instead of spending a lot of money for a VRS. My first modification would be changing the exterior lights such as installing a HID Kit, LED Side Lights and LED number plate lights. I have read a few posts and forums about how to install a HID Kit onto a Skoda Octavia MK2 but the results shown are mainly for the pre-facelift. What would I need to do to install a HID Kit on a Skoda Octavia MK2 Facelift? Any recommendations on Amazon for good quality and long lasting LED side lights and LED number plate light would be much appreciated. 

Ignoring the legality of such a conversion, unless you change the whole headlights and fit self levellers etc, and the fact that just fitting HID bulbs to the standard headlights should result in a failed MOT if you do a search on the forum there are a few threads regarding fitting HIDs to a FL Octavia. Some have them fitted for many years without any problems and others appear to have fried their BCM at great expense.
