Virtual Cockpit colours.

Featured Replies

I have the Virtual cockpit in my 245, the default colour for the dials is red. Does  anyone know if its possible  to alter the colour to the same colour chosen in the back ground lighting. ie :- Green LED's strips in the doors, on the radio screen and in the VC.  I've seen  video's on You Tube with a different coloured VC.

Anyone ?

I have a choice of 10 colours on my virtual analogue dash, currently using orange with the standard ambient lighting and it is over £400 cheaper as a bonus. Me jealous absolutely not. The only VC I want is the one they pin on your chest for being a Super Hero. Where's my red underpants and blue cape.

Does your VC speedo read to 180mph like the free dash (I know it doesn't) and are you going to pay someone to change/improve it for you?. Still no help but can't understand what appeals with this new fancy hi-tech stuff when the standard dials are so classy and you get sat nav instructions on the maxidot screen between the dials.

Think you should carbon wrap your primer paint as you have almost as much already attached to match a Formula One car. Shame you are  powered by tractor fuel.:)

WRONG WORD

AFAIK they are always going to be red. I’ve changed mine from the regular dials to the vRS skin and I haven’t played with it since then. They are set red and certainly if you could change them, it’s not something that you could alter in a setting, you would have to plug in and change with a coding tool anyway. For me, the full map in the middle plus option of different views on the VC is worth every penny over the standard analogue dials. It’s such a nice piece of kit and makes my nearly 5 year old car feel brand new.

Did you also get the 10 mph increments done while you were at it?

Yep. I’ve been in London for A few days so I popped down to Gizmo’s for a few VCDS  tweets.  Vc is view 5. I think there was 11 views to pick from. Some did nothing some did.  If you look in my signature all the red bits were done by Gizmo.

Did Gizmo do the tweeks for free or did it cost some beer money. Spill the beans.:blush

If I remember correctly the Odd tin past our hands.      :notme:

Personally I prefer the classic speedometer in sports car. Škoda graphics in virtual cockpit is just bad, same as VW and Seat compared to Audi ones...

Totally agree from many you tube video's I have watched seems that Audi and Lambo are given the best VC screens and the other brands get a much lower resolution graphic like a cheap TV.

I review new cars on my YouTube channel. Some screens are so cheap there refresh rate is so low they flicker on my camera. You can see Audi A1 or Q3 have cheap ones, while A6, 7, 8 have best ones. And GUI is better!

Haven't started the Beast in more than 2 weeks so video (hopefully it will upload) of a cold start plus current 450 mile range.
