So who’s off to this years show?

7th, 8th and 9th June @ Silverstone circuit.

Anyone interested in buying tickets then it’s worth becoming a ‘Patreon’ of Fully Charged as the discount they offer (for two days anyway) more than makes up the cost of the Patreon membership.

Very tempted, haven't bought the ticket or decided on which day go to yet.

But they don't provide on-site charging, and MK has a Polar monopoly. I strongly object to the idea of monthly paid membership. So looks like we'll have to take the dirty diesel Skoda ..... which is a bit at odds with the idea of the show.

After some thought, I've bought Friday's ticket. I'm interested in the following talks:

Wind, Solar & Storage

Autonomous Vehicles: how soon is now?

How to have a Fully Charged career

I'll do half day work on Friday in Luton and arrive by 1pm for rest of that day.

Plan is to drive my 60-80 miles Leaf 140 miles that day. I'll fully charge at work in the morning, then drive to the show 40 odd miles away.

After the show, I'll drive 20 miles to MK Coachway charger hub. I've begrudgingly signed up for 3 months free Polar plus. Hopefully with 9 chargers, there won't be too much queuing.  Then 50 miles back home.

Who says short range EV can't do long distance?

It'll cost me 7.6p/kWh at home for 20kWh, 12p/kWh at work for ~8kWh, 10.8p/kWh on Polar for ~16kWh => £4.20 to drive 140 miles. Would have cost ~£14 in the Skoda diesel.

The following Saturday talks also look very interesting: Hopefully like last year, they'll upload the talk online.

Making sustainability more appealing to your friends and family

Can batteries really be ethical, recyclable and sustainable?

How to stop burning money; efficiency & heat at home

Unfortunately I'd rather spend the day with my 1yr old toddler rather than drive 4 hours return from N London in a diesel. My wife didn't want to bring and look after the toddler while I go around the place like a big kid.

Wow, he really stuck it to the Mini as a adapted petrol car rather than a proper EV from the ground up and of course the poxy range.

Slightly odd presentation again.

Big up the e-Up, got one, doing that soon, then wait a bit and mention the Skoda Citigo IV which is really the same car but cheaper,

Why not just go with e-Up, Citigo iV and Mii electric and discuss as 1 and mention the 2 that are not wearing a VW badge are cheaper.
