HI WHY WOULD THE ESP LIGHT COME ON WHEN THE CAR GOES INTO LIMP MODE THE TURBO IS OVERBOOSTING SO THROWS UP THE HEATER COIL LIGHT BUT THEN THE ESP LIGHT COMES ON AND PERMINANT LIMP MODE FOR AGES NEEDS A NEW TURBO BUT WHY THE ESP LIGHT ??? WITHOUT THE ESP LIGHT I CAN KNOCK THE IGNITION ON AND OFF AND SHE IS OK BUT WHEN THE ESP IS ON NO GO PERMINANT LIMP ?? USUAL CODE PO238 CHANGED BOOST PRESURE SENSOR AIRFLOW METER ECT ? ANY IDEAS 

 

Hi which drivetrain setup do you have?

Very difficult to help without actually plugging in and checking all codes.

You mentioned you have a turbo issue, has that now been sorted with the actuator or do you still need to do the actuator?

you may have an engine ecu event logged in 03 for brake system, but when you check the code it may just say check engine ecu fault code?

Its likely there are additional fault codes.

 

P0238 is as you've discovered related to the manifold pressure/boost sensor, you shouldn't be seeing the ESP light, unless there is a seperate fault...
