Hi guys, oil light has come on in car. I'm on the two year or 20000 mile service plan. 

 

I have the 150bhp 2ltr diesel superb Mark 3.

 

Which oil should I get to top it up? Any links to good prices?

The car requires VW 504/507   so 5w 30 FS LL.   

(New ones leave the factory since last year with VW508/509 so 0w 20 FS IV, not cheap.)

 

I recommend, ASDA Branded. 'Much Cheapness' and produced by an Oil Manufacturer not a Baked Been producer.

So any VW 504 / 507 so 5w 30 FS LL oil,

or VW 504/507 spec from any source of trusted retailer.

Which brand is best?

Makes no difference, it is a 2.0 TDI.  Just needs 5w 30 FS LL to VW504 / 507 spec, 

ASDA TESCO, Motor Factors, anyplace sells it.

What many or most of the Main Dealers use.

What you might expect Parks of Hamilton (Parks Motor Group) to use when they are servicing special offer or not, but then you can not trust them as far as you could throw them.
