MK1 vrs estate coilovers on Spyder 16s will it fit ok?

Featured Replies

Hi I'm new to the forum, I've just picked up a mk1 vrs estate that I'm trying to upgrade. I'm gathering the bits for a TT front end and I'm wanting to fit coilovers too.

My question is will this be ok to run on the standard 16" alloys, clearance be ok etc? Will I need spacers ?? Any other tips advice be great!

@Rsbannana - True coilovers run smaller diameter springs than OEM, so you'll have more inside clearance with the standard 16x6.5 ET42 and 205/55R16s.

The spring plate on the front shocks is above the wheels on the standard suspension setup, coilovers would have the adjusting collars/spring seat so I am worried the tyre will touch the coilover?
