BKD Oil leak above the turbo?

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

Upon doing the last oil change, I noticed there's some oil covering part of my turbo. I got a picture of it as seen from below but since the car drives fine and it pulls like a train, I doubt it's coming from the turbo itself....

Is there anything above the turbo that has the potential to leak and make the oil drip down on the turbo?

2007 - 290.000km - original turbo.

Hi, have you ever found what the issue was? I'm having same problem locating the leak. Back of my engine is covered in oil and seems to be coming from turbo. Let us know, thanks.

Was this a head gasket failure?

A leaking EGR/ASV can cause quite a mess externally, certainly on a 1.9 PD and it's above the turbo.

I usually give it and the lower drizzled mess a good clean annually at engine oil change.

Hi thanks for reply, but this is 2.0 bkd engine, the EGR is in front and in the back is only turbo and above is only egr cooler.
