Hi all

 

I thought gloss roof rails were standard on the vRS 230 estate but I've seen 2 cars now without them.

 

Was it a factory option to delete them? Is it a popular aftermarket mod?

ill be doing mine soon along with a black roof. its the one shabby part of the car that's impossible to hide.

I couldn't tell you the finish on my roof rails. I'm not that observant and have never used them.💤

Sorry, don't mean the finish.  Some vRS 230s I've seen literally don't have roof rails, let alone gloss black ones.  Was this a factory option?

Estates? AFAIK if you have an estate you have roof rails, if you have a hatch you don't.

 

EDIT: Just seen estates explicitly mentioned in your OP. I have no idea either then.

Early 230 (pre facelift) estates, mainly dealer demos, came through with no roof rails from the factory. There was never an option to delete them.

I've seen one without them and it just looked odd.
