Boot net

Featured Replies

Hey all, is there a stretchy boot net that would reach from the top of the roof (when the boot is full ) to the 4 lashing points on the floor?

i am assuming the Skoda boot net for the floor won’t stretch that far.

Thanks in advance.

No

How about using some thin rope or bungee to go from the loops on the floor to the hooks on the net?

I assuming the boot divider net needs the roof hooks and can't be retrofitted (easily)?

So the boot divider option adds the hooks in the roof and they are not included if the option is not selected form factory? Can it be retorfitted?

I was told by my dealer that was a dealer fit option, not factory fit, so I'd ask them about it.  Think it was £150 from memory.

Correct. I specced it as a factory build option and the car arrived like it complete with slots in the roof lining. The dealer definitely didn’t fit them.  I don’t know whether it can be retrofitted - it would need a new headlining or modification of the current one.

It’s silly because my wife’s XC40 arrived with the slots in the headlining as standard, so all she would need to buy is the net from the dealer. No idea why “practical” Skoda don’t do that.

Volvo, install the fittings as standard and the owner purchases his own net from elsewhere.

£0 profit to Volvo.

Škoda, doesn't supply the fittings as standard and the owner has to pay the suggested £150(+) for the factory/dealer install.

Maximum profit to Škoda.

Well kind of...SKoda Kodiaq approx 30K , VOlvo XC60 approx 40K, plus standardisation, all cars are the same, no extra labour and processing to check whether to install hooks or not.
