Wanna Get Me a GPS for fabia VRS

Featured Replies

It depends what car you have. Is it an Octy1/Octy2/Fabia?

Just got me new vrs and i love it. I want a sat nav and would like ot to be part of dash, any ideas what VW or Audi ones I can get.

The easiest way forward would be to fit a Fabia one since you've got a Fabia... The Fabia dash curves slightly meaning other VAG ones which would fit the aperture don't fully integrate properly in appearance terms.

There are better ones that will be a straight fit.

For example.

God its been a revival of my old posts recently! Footwell lights' date=' sat-nav... good to see the mods still continue.[/color']

Yup well the official Skoda MFD fits and will have a green backlit display (like dash) and Skoda Start-up menu:

Or the VW MFD version D or G will fit (it is identicle unit to skoda one just has red display rather than green to match VW dash):

I see you've not been hanging around getting the Golf to the same "deluxe" trim spec as the Fabia, Rich ;)

certianly havn't phil! Golf is very easy to mod, so many available parts for it! And being a '51 i can play to my hearts content!!

Oh and for the record: Skoda/VW sat nav... great unit, good radio (cd changer needed) but sat-nav... if you really want the best get a tom-tom cheaper. I've purly got this system for cosmetic.

I have a TomTom700 with a Skoda start up screen. Doddle to set up, 30seconds to install/remove for security reasons. Mine doubles up as full bluetooth hands free kit, and integrates with TMS to divert around road works etc. Can't fault it.
