Service History - will Skoda provide details like Mercedes-Benz do

Featured Replies

I have a Yeti 1.2 so before I go to the expense of a preventative maintenance of having the timing chain kit replaced, I want to find out if its already been done before I bought it ?

It has FSSH but no mention of the cam chain - but I have read the various threads about possible service campaign actions / technical notices that might have gone unrecorded.

Does anyone have a useful email address for Skoda UK and know if they will provide service history details ? Thanks.

( I asked Mercedes for details on our 2005 SLK with FMBSH and they were happy to provide)

Any Škoda dealer should be able to provide you with that information about your vehicle. I needed copies of service sheets for my own vehicle* to keep my records up to date.

*A few years into ownership of my vehicle, Škoda adopted an 'electronic service history' and stopped supplying new vehicles with physical Service Booklets. One of the dealerships I used stopped automatically supplying its customers with printouts of service documentation.

It won't help with cam chain but you can access routine service history via the My Skoda app.  All you need is the VIN.

In Australia a service campaign sticker would be attached to the base of the A pillar which would be visible only when the driver’s door was open.
