The chrome on the inside of one of the wifes door handles is peeling away, kind of sharp to the touch.  Just wondering if this is a know issue, any service bulletins?  Bit shoddy on a three year old car.

 

The car is out of warranty but going into Skoda for a service tomorrow so will mention it.

Worst case , a cheap fix is to do a wrap for it. You could have a carbon fibre look for added HP

Horse Power.  Carbon Fibre is known to increase HP exponentially, especially if you stick it on everything you can see.

Ah...thank you. I wouldn't have thought to link the two. Now I know!

I wrapped my wife's mobility scooter (pink CF, natch) and that improved both speed and handling.  I'm planning to add a turbo sticker on the back for even more speed.

Already done - though obviously for the alloys. Can't wait to fit it...

Update on this. Car was with Skoda yesterday, €120 for a new handle. I think I'll be fixing it myself!

I have discovered the same issue with the flaking door handle on the passenger side this morning. My car is a little over two years old!

I have the same issue on 3 doors where the worst peel off is the drivers door. I have the extended guarantee (+3 years) from Skoda so I assume they will cover it. Ill contact them today.

Update: Got it fixed and it was covered by the warranty.
