Hello from North Yorkshire

Featured Replies

We bought a Karoq 1.5 TSi SEL DSG a week ago and so far are loving it. We replaced our (second) 4WD diesel reluctantly, but our driving pattern and the local terrain is such that the car was not suitable for the long-term (36.5mpg over 14000 miles measured brim to brim with lots of short runs interspersed with longer journeys) so we went for petrol. I'll report in more detail at some stage, but the first impressions are that the 7-speed DSG is remarkably smooth after the Yeti's 6-speed and the slight worries over the lower torque have been negated by driving up 1 in 3 slopes, around hairpin bends and so on and the engine just sorts itself out. If the Yeti had been available with the same features, we'd have bought another, but the shape of the K is growing on us and overall we are delighted.
