Buzzing noise roght door/seatbelt?

Featured Replies

272 ps, when driving in S mode (higher revs , when revs go down I hear very loud buzzing noise coming from somewhere around right door/seatbelt mount.

any clue what that might be? Anyone had same problem?

thought its sunroof but eliminated it as issue

Mine has the same and AFAIK its common and known issue by the dealer, related to fuel line rattle. They know how to quickly fix it, but I didn't have the time to visit them yet.

I have the same issue. Normally happens between 70 to 75mph. But sometimes at other speeds when it's not at normal cruise revs I.e. when I am using manual mode having a bit of fun.

@didoya that is interesting, I will mention it to the service centre when I get it in soon.

Just to confirm.

I've been to the dealer today for oil change. I've filed a complaint and they fixed the rattle. The mechanic confirmed that the noise was related to the fuel lines and is specific to 2.0tsi.

Have you got any more details on this please?    I thought I'd fixed my door/sill based rattle by soundproofing the door with silent coat/absorber foam but I can still hear it at 2k revs, when the car has warmed up.  My dealer has had the car twice and won't admit to there being a fault, despite me demonstrating in person and via video.  I've now been made aware of this fuel line rattle and believe the fix is to add some new clips?

I was collecting our new Fabia yesterday and the supplying dealer said there was a TPI for this but said he wasn't allowed to give me the details unless the work is/was carried out by them (WTF?!) whereas the dealer who's investigated the fault, denied all knowledge of a TPI or similar.

I'm getting quite p'd off now.  I have two crappy rattles that either occur when my CC is set to NSL or when I'm accelerating beyond 3k revs.  So I'm punished for having fun and punished for obeying the speed limit.  The lord works in mysterious ways

Tell them to go under the car, remove the plastic cover under the engine and inspect the fuel lines. The rubber part of the brackets holding the lines gets loose and the line starts to vibrate and knock on the car body. Let them inspect their fuel lines and they will find it out. Forcing the car to 2.5k RPM helps reproducing the issue.

it's so irritating to have this noise, I'm driving a different car now, as I spent most of my time on Sport:) The gearbox settings in the rest of the modes are too "Eco" for me.
