EPC Dash warning light is on??

Random EPC light has came on, on dash board.. unsure what it is or how to fix.

Tried plugging in computer comes back with

Code P0171 - Engine too lean.

But I do also have engine management light on which I believe is causing the error code.

The EPC light might well be tied in with your other post about the brake light switch

In your profile it says your car is 20005. If that's meant to say 2005, your car is a mk1 rather than a mk2?

Engine? Gearbox? We are skilled but not that good to mystically pull a diagnosis out of thin air.

All I can say is what I can see.. and amber EPC warning light on dash board..

How about what engine do you have in your car?
