Karoq Comfort boot floor

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does anyone know if there are a comfort boot floor on the market for Kariq that can be ordered?

Have Labrador and I need to have the foor at entry level for the dog cage I want.

Regards Joakim

I think cars that come with the Vario-flex rear seats have the higher boot floor. They use some bits of moulded polystyrene to raise the floor. It doesn't quite come level with the boot lip but it isn't far off.

I could have a look for part numbers if you like?

My Karoq has the lower floor and I installed something yesterday.I purchased from my local builders yard two Ecotherm Insulation Boards.48”x18”x3”.You can get them 4” thick if required and they do come in bigger sizes but they are way to big for the job.Cost was about £17 total. One board was not enough so two needed for me.Using a handsaw i cut both boards to cover the whole of the boot floor.I cut them a tiny bit too big so they would wedge in and stay in place. You could also tape two boards together. It got a bit messy while cutting as the board as does shred a lot.I would advice covering the cut surfaces with some wide stick tape before putting into the boot.

It does feel strong enough though.I already had a rubber mat boot protector that cost less than £10 from Ebay so laid that over the top.I already have a large dog mattress on order so that will go on top but a couple of old blankets would do the job.One big drawback I found was that if I put a dog crate on this platform it comes up too high so cannot use the parcel shelf or blind. So I am now getting my Springer used to travelling without the crate. So far, touch wood its been fine.
