1,5 tsi petrol engines problems

Featured Replies

there seems to be a hell of a lot of problems with the 1.5 evo engines as widely reported. VW seems to be dragging its heels and in denial.

someone will be injured or worse eventually. they are still selling cars across the VAG group SKODA included knowing there is a big problem,

this is a scandal in my eyes as bad as dieselgate!. I would like to encourage people with problems to contact WATCHDOG the BBC 1 prog.

they will take them to task on this as they have countless times before. bad publicity might shake them up.

i'll give it a go myself. so get in touch with them lets stir it up or we will get nowhere.

Good luck, I had no reply!

@barbus

Here is someone for you to contact.  Auto Express have been deaf dumb and blind for 18 months.

You obviously haven't read the other threads!

That's right, I think you've got a bit of catching up to do, barbus. Pour yourself a beer and start reading '1.5 SEL first gear issue', currently at 89 pages; actually, get yourself a crate of beers - it'll take you several days to read it all.

BTW  Many of us wrote to Watchdog, You and Yours etc six months ago.

Been exposed to the same risks or even worse risks by BMW in Sweden. Swedish media was quite ignorant to my messages (I have crazy story to share with them with 4+ months in repairs, after recall BMW returned me a car with disconnected exhaust pipe under the bonnet, and I had power loss during overtaking due to another EGR defect). Btw my 1.5 TSI DSG is quite good, a little bit jerky in the first 30 seconds and then all quite okay (as good as dual clutch robot could be). 2500km on odometer.
