I was looking though eBay and came across this and was going to bid.

So I checked to see if it's hpi and it turns out it's a cat n. Can't figure out how to report a seller to eBay for that. So I thought I'd just give you guys a heads up if you was thinking of bidding

Many cars are Cat N.  So what is the problem with this one?   Are you aware of repairs not haven been done correctly?

I guess as there is no mention of it on the auction? 

A Keeper / Owner might not say,

and then it can be the case they do not know because they never did a HPI or the person that sold to them never said.

Exactly, hence why I asked if the OP had messaged, might well be news to them. 

 

Its not a bad thing as long as it’s been repaired well. Cat N is non structural so no real safety concerns only that as a recorded insurance claim is against it you would expect that reflected in the price. 

Yeah. I messaged then asking when the cambelt was done at first and they got back straight away saying. "Yes its been done" but not a when it was done. I messaged them back asking about the hpi and when the cambelt was done but have been ignored. 

Cat n wouldn't put me off but they are being very vague with there answers or not answering at all.
