Electric tailgate Skoda Octavia 2019 Retrofit

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a problem with starting the electric tailgate, after connecting everything and coding I have a flap lock error. The controller does not receive a feedback signal that the damper is open (there is only a signal that it is closed) and the actuators do not want to operate.

The whole set was pulled out of one car using cables in which everything worked 100%, so an electrical problem or bad connection is excluded because it is connected exactly the same as in the factory

Does anyone know where and what exactly do you need to code / adapt so that the car knows there is an electric tailgate?

I exchanged everything including

most likely there is a problem with the lack of signal No. 2, which is located in the trunk lock. There is no feedback therefore the actuators do not raise / close the gate

Did you ever solve this? I have done this retrofit now and the boot will not power. Controller says hall motor signal error on motor 2. It won’t power open or closed.

Thanks so much :)

It was most likely a wiring fault would be my guess or a faulty hall sensor in the strut itself.
