5J instrument cluster with maxi-dot Swap

Featured Replies

Hello

My name is Theo and I have a Fabia 5J (FL) AMBIENTE ESTATE with CBZB engine and production date 2010-09.

The car came with the Green Screen Cluster and I want to install a maxi dot one.

I have bought a 5J0 920 841 E  but I haven't found somebody close where I

... leave to install it for me yet.

I am reading a parts catalog with original parts codes and I found that is associated with "PR U0C+1A2,1A3+ +9Q2". I don't recognize this number. Any idea what these numbers can be?
On the same catalog there is the equivalent instrument cluster with code
5J0 920 840 E  and on the same location has "CHFA CGPA CBZA,CBZB BXW,CGGB BTS,CFNA +PR-9Q2"

The instrument cluster that I bought, came out a 5J FABIA ELEGANCE COMBI with CBZA engine and production date 2011-11.

It can be done as long as your car is 2010+ facelift. Due to the can-bus in the cars the maxidot wont communicate with the previous version. Someone on here has done it but it was very long winded and not as easy as you think as you have to code the cluster into the ECU / Immobiliser plus getting the mileage copied across etc etc. It's not really worth the expense.

Now I see, they are custom options parameters. Thank you @Tech1e

My car has U0C+1A2 and the car that the instrument cluster came from had U0C+1A2+9Q2, with

9Q2 Multi-function display/trip computer: Multi-function display/on-board computer with check control

So there is a chance that this project might work.
