After repairing the rivets a few years ago, the SAI pump motor finally ground itself into dust so I need to bite the bullet and buy a new one for my 2004 VRS estate. (Local tuners told me they won't map it out). Weirdly Ebay suppliers only list their pumps fitting the VRS saloon (1U2 code). Does anybody know if the pump for the estate is identical? (1U5 chassis code). I can't for the life of me think why the saloon and estate would be different.

 

Any experience or part number greatly appreciated!

According to the parts diagrams at 7zap.com the Secondary Air Pump comes in two forms for the 2004 1U Octavia: 078 906 601 M for 1.8 engines AGU, ARM, ARX, AUQ and 06A 959 253 E for 1.6/2.0 engines AVU, AQY, AZH, AZJ, BFQ.

 

Throw it in the bin and put a resistor in the connector. Job done,
