Rear fog light electrical gremlin

Featured Replies

I have one fog light that won’t go bright.  The bulb in question is on and then should go brighter when you turn the fogs on, but one side doesn’t despite changing the bulb with the one that works ok on the other side.

Any ideas on where to be looking please?

Wrong bulb?!

Had them all out and checked they are the right ones.

I don't think that both fog lights were activated from the factory so has someone installed LED bulbs without them being activated?

As standard, only one side will light up as a rear fog lamp :)

This should be the drivers side. You can recode the car with VCDS or similar to enable the second rear fog lamp.

Yeah I think I might have turned it on some time ago.

Interesting! Skoda picked up on it today and it is the passenger side that doesn’t work. so does this mean they electronically picked up the fault as visually they would’ve not expected it to light?
