Appel CarPlay Phone volume loud

Featured Replies

Hi all,

i have a problem when i use CarPlay in my O3 from 2018 model, the ring volume is way too loud, and I get a chick when the phone is ringing. Apple says it’s the car manufacturer where there should be a settings to change the volume. I tried when the phone is ringing to scroll down for the radio volume, and then the ringtone is low, but when I turn off the car it’s not saving the setting, and I have to scroll down again when the phone ringing with loud volume...

is is there a solution for this problem?

Btw it’s a radio without navigation

This annoys the hell out of me, afaik there isn’t a way to turn the ring volume down on CarPlay. I have my phone on silent all the time so I set a custom ringtone that is just silence and set it. Now it doesn’t ring which is great because the phone display coming on the radio is enough for me. If you want a quiet tone, set a quiet one and try that. It’s the only solution I have found for now but if you don’t have your phone on silent normally it might not be helpful for you.

My phone is always on silent but when I connect to CarPlay it’s on sound. I agree when you driving you see in the speedometer display and the screen when someone is calling you, so how do I get it on silent in CarPlay?

You need to download a silent ringtone in m4r format and assign it as your ringtone with iTunes. Then set it on the phone and even in ring the phone will be silent. So when CarPlay is connected there is no tone as the phone will play the silent one :)
