Unexpectedly decent MPG - 1.4mpi

Featured Replies

Reset at last fill and refilled in same manner as previously. Works out at 45 mpg.

Things I have done that may have helped are cleaning throttle body and actually removing it to do so (although it wasn't anywhere near as dirty as I imagined it would be). Ran Throttle Body Alignment with VCDS. Fitted new fuel filter (probably had the original from 2002 on it).

I've also kept speed at a max of 60 mph and done longer journeys. I guess the recent temperatures in the UK would have helped too.

Mine does great on a long run. Not very good around town though.
