Octavia VRS help/info

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I currently drive a 2009 1.4 TSI DSG and I am looking for something with better economy and more poke, i have been looking at the 2.0 TDI VRS DSG around a 16 plate.

Would these come with Apple CarPlay and be Euro 6 compliant also what MPG would I expect?

Thanks in advance.

They aren’t Euro 6, they are Euro 5. SmartLink for CarPlay etc came in MY2016 so ensure it’s in the menu if you want it. Most PFL cars that have SmartLink haven’t got it enabled. It’s £137 to activate it :)

when did Euro 6 come in? according to a article on RAC's website it mentions that Euro 6 was applied to new passenger car approvals from Sept 2014 and to most new registrations from Sept 2015. Where can this be activated?

Euro 6 should have been introduced for MY16 with the SmartLink. You would have to go to the dealer to have it activated if it’s not already. My 2014 car is Euro 5, so ensure you get a newer one if that’s important to you. The MY19 cars have AdBlue also.
