Skoda Ocravia RS Top mounts

Featured Replies

Hi all , looking to change my top mounts soon . Does any one of you try something better than the OEM?

Ill be looking to change the bearings also .

Please feel free to give me links of that you think are more suitable. I have already vhange twice the mounts but it dont last more than 2-3 years....

Thank you in advance.

I've only had to change one of mine in 8 years/130k miles. I only did that because I was replacing the spring - there was nothing really wrong with the old one. Fairly sure it was a Lemforder brand one I fitted.

I think I've heard of some people fitting Leon Cupra R top mounts. Have a search and you should be able to find an old thread on the subject.

What brand top mounts are you using? Do you have standard shocks/springs or sports shocks/lowering springs/coilovers? Do you drive on a lot of rough roads?

I replaced mine on my 2002 tdi with Leon Cupra R ones. I had polybush ones before and were too harsh for me, the LCR ones are stiffer but softer than polybush and are perfect for me. I’m running coilovers too.

I have big slope in my garage and from mine understanding they have too many press by entering the car in the garage. I have install a V-MAX coil over suspension and the car is where i want to be expect for the annoying noises from the top mount bearings when the car is stationary.

Do you have any serial number or link from this?

Thanks mate. Are these also suitable for my Octavia RS?

Yes as the LCR is a 1.8t engine just 225hp.
