Headlight wash and screen cleaning fluid.

Featured Replies

Hello! Re headlight washers on Yeti, am i correct that washers are activated after the 5th time the windscreen is washed? Also,  anyone recommend a screen wash that is good and does not damage headlight glass?

Thanks!

Yeah that's correct, although I am sure that can be adjusted with diagnostics.

Headlamps are plastic but not heard of any particular brand damaging them.

Yep, lights get washed ( when turned on ) every 5th wash of the screen. I've had mine altered so the headlights only get washed  ( again lights on ) when you pull and hold the wiper stalk for more than 2 seconds, saves screen wash and stops the front of the car being soaked in screen wash when not needed.

Headlights washed on 1st and then every 6th time screen washes are used.
I use Prestone concentrated screenwash.

Do i need to get Dealer to adjust this, or can i do it myself?  Thanks!

Can be done with VCDS

Prestone concentrate or VW own screen wash are very good.
