Creaking noise when applying brake after lowering vrs

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

Before we start I’ve already used the search tool to look for the solution to my problem.

So I have an 06 mk1 fabia vrs 108k on her. Yesterday I lowered my car on vmaxx coilovers and now when driving slow and hitting the brake it creaks loudly. I can’t seem to pinpoint exactly where it’s coming from but it obviously wasn’t there before I lowered the car.

Has anyone had this problem after lowering they’re car? I see people say that it creaks when going over bumps and what not but mine creaks when I apply the brake?

I have attached a video for everyone to get a better idea of the sound.

Cheers

last squeek sounds a bit like a bush or something??  Could it be springs settling? I don't think it's a "known problem" but hopefully something straightforward. Did you change top mounts or any other parts at the same time?

Hey man thanks for the reply. Yeah we changed the top mounts. I’ve been looking everywhere for a solution but your right it’s not a known problem 🥺. Anyhow I guess I’ll just have another look and let them settle a bit

Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help!
