Am going to look at a 2011 Fabia tomorrow. It has very low mileage and a full main dealer history. Does that model use a cambelt rather than a chain and if so what are the change intervals - mileage or years please? ShoUld the water pump be changed at the same time? TIA.

Don't know; that will depend on the exact engine (code, not just fuel and capacity) fitted.

 

On a lot of the cambelt engines, the water pump has a life typically 1.5x the cambelt change interval, and you need to change the cambelt to replace the water pump, so you save time and money by getting a new pump done when the belt's off anyway.

It’s a 1.2 Diesel engine if that helps.
