I'd like to enable the auto-lock (anti-hijack) feature on my wifes Fabia 3, SE L MY15.   

 

I've tried:

Locking Door up to 15 km/h
Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics)
Control unit Long Coding 
Byte 0
Bit 4 Activate
=====

 

The coding was accepted but the doors aren't locking when I'm driving up to 30mph.   Any ideas?

Where did you get the instructions from for doing the above? It looks rather like an old coding instruction from many moons ago.

I found it on the Fabia 3 board, which links to an OBDEleven forum post. 

 

Do you know of any more up to date instructions to enable this?  It must be doable as other Fabia 3 owners have reported it being successfully completed by their dealers.  Perhaps it needs ODIS (?)

Don’t you just hold the interior lock button down for 20 seconds? Works on the Fabia 2. 

Maybe asking the OBDEleven deveolpers why their instructions are wrong. Byte 0 Bit 4 isn't a selectable option on VCDS for anything, at least not on my vehicles.

I'm unwilling to give you a "best guess" as to which Bytes & Bits you should select, as I'm not a fan of randomly clicking here and there in the hope of landing on the right choice. But lets just say VCDS has a correct coding selection in their long coding helper. Whether your vehicle is the same as mine I'm not certain.
