I’m sure it’s easy, however my usual strategy of brute force isn’t going to get the plastic clip over the top of the sensor off.

Push the plug to relase strain then pull the tag towards the wire...

So... to get the sensor off... do I need an Allan key or some other tool?

 

i tried and it wouldn’t budge

I think it's a Torx screw. Will check on ETKA for you.

Looks like a hexagon (allen key) bolt. 6mm I think.

Allen key doesn't give much leverage. You need something like this...
