Missing Albums - SD Card & Amundsen

Featured Replies

Anyone any idea why my Amundsen (2017 Yeti SEL Drive 1.2 Tis DSG) can’t “see” all the albums on an SD card? I copied the albums from iTunes directly onto a 32gb SD card but when it is mounted in the unit some of the albums are missing completely. Checked the SD card and the Albums are there on the card in exactly the same format as all the visible albums, I guess about 10% are missing. All albums were ripped from owned CD’s into iTunes and play in AAC format - approved by Skoda!

I am completely mystified, has anyone else had this problem and how can I cure it so all the albums on the SD card are “visible” and I can play them on my Amundsen.

Do you use a Windows PC or a Mac? macOS adds some files into folders that can confuse the Amundsen - they have a (dot) first character and aren't usually visible in macOS.

I use a Mac but 90% of the Albums are there on the Amundsen, artwork visible, all tracks present and the playback system works perfectly. It's just that about 10% of the Albums on the SD card aren't "seen" by the Amundsen!

Worth installing BlueHarvest on your Mac (I use it on my MacBook Air) and checking for any unwanted files though...

AFAIK macOS only adds the unwanted files if you browse to the folder with Finder, so they may not be present in all album folders.

But why would it only affect some albums? Everything done together, all albums dragged to SD card at same time.

I you have ever previously browsed to an album folder using Finder the unwanted files will be present in that folder.
