Looking as retrofitting MDI to my Superb Mk2. 

 

Ive got everythig i need including the MDI unit mounting bracket 3T0035643.

 

I know the MDi connector goes in the centre console cubby under the armrest, but where does the MDI unit itself get stowed when fitted with the specific bracket above? 

 

I am assuming it goes underneath the centre console somewhere? I haven't pulled the console out yet to investigate, not a job I'm looking forwards to to be honest. There doesn't appear to be much info around on removing the console, any guides? 

 

For the MDI install itself, anyone got any installation instructions, or photos and details of their install?

I just put mine into the glovebox, stuck unit to the sude with sticky pads

Probably the easiest approach to put it in the glove box and it may com to that. 

 

But was really hoping to do a factory installation with the connector under the centre console armrest.
