Hard Pipe Kit Help

Featured Replies

Hi people I'm brand new to the forum and also pretty new to Skoda's. I bought a MK1 VRS for the wife and spent 3 months finding the right one and managed to find a one owner unmodified 2005 one with low mileage. Anyway that was last year and she's wanted nothing apart from a service and rear shockers then last month she started blowing and it was the pipe from the turbo to intercooler which I found out through this forum was a common problem. The pipes are nearly £300 from Skoda so I got my friend who is a mechanic to do the repair listed on here using self tappers and it worked a treat well for a month it did now it's blowing again and it the same pipe but now it's the rubber part my mate said it now needs a pipe no bodgying will fix it. So I'm thinking it's cheaper to buy a hard pipe kit than the two genuine pipes from Skoda. But I'm unsure as the ones for £100ish on eBay don't look the same I know they will look slightly different but can someone please link me to a hard pipe kit of decent quality that fits a totally standard vrs. Cheers in advance

Thanks for the reply but thats the wrong pipe. The one I have a problem with is the Intercooler to turbo 😓

You'll have to read a bit to get a list of parts. ^^^That guy did his bottom hose after doing the top one.

Have had a look at genuine parts prices. The 90 degree off the turbo isn't too bad at about £35 but bl**dy hell! The pipe running forward to the intercooler is about £150.

Before firing up the parts cannon look at the union on the intercooler, this often wears and a new pipe won't fix it.
