Any idea what this is?

Put your thumb in the hole and push down.

First thing I did when I bought my Fabia as I love the little thing.

All I need now is a Skoda pen.

Thanks

I can finally get it open:thumbup:

Your supplying dealer should have explained that to you' date=' during the handover process.

Who was your supplying dealer?[/quote']

The last thing i wanted is my dealer telling me where everything was. Id of knocked him out telling me i had a can cooler. Id just got my 1st ever brand new car and most powerfull, i didnt want to listen to where the horn etc was. I asked for him not to bother but he said it was a legal thing he had to do. I know what your saying the dealer should tell you everything, but you just want to drive it when youve waited in my case 3 weeks.

Erm ... getting a bit rude this one .... More tea Vicar !
I manage to complete a thorough handover in 15 minutes or so, in which I explain what the little compartment is. Perhaps the topic creator bought his car through a broker or maybe from an internet company and therefore doesn't get any of the features/support you would get from a dealer.

Looks like I better write a letter of complaint to my dealer then

Out of interest .. how far do you go on your handovers then? Do you talk them through the little lassoo (sic?) things for tying things to in the boot? Genuine question, I would have thought this level of detail was a waste of everybody's time tbh.

Ive only ever bought two cars brand new

and on both occasions

The salesman has given me my keys and waved me off with no tour of the car

Well, it's a good job all those who purchased their Fabia from brokers/internet/autotrader/private sales have the sense to come and register on sites like this and ask advice then ;)

I started in sales when I worked at my first dealer.

I was sat for nearly an hour talking them through all the points with the car.

Probably a bit too much......

But I love the little things that they have.

Like when you put the car in reverse and it takes a sweep.

I have a giggle every time I do this ..... still after all this time I still love it.

An hour

Yeh, I definitely agree that that is too long. The human mind can only concentrate for 20mins before losing concentration (and that's wishful thinking IMO) so there's no way a customer would remember the majority of what was told to them in an hour long lecture about a car they'd yet to drive substantially!

Still, at least your enthusiasm for the cars may have rubbed off on them

What's what for???

Erm ..... this thread now has nothing to do with the original question.

I can finally get it open:thumbup:

Now you've got it open try pulling it down further - carefully - you'll find a secret lurking inside...
