Poor interior fan performance

Featured Replies

Not sure if its supposed to be like it is but my superb seems to have the weakest interior fan of any car I've owned. I need to have at least 4 dialled up to feel like there is any flow. I've changed the pollen filter and double checked its fitted the correct way round but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

The blower motor does appear to be working on all speeds it's just weak. I'd be a bit miffed if it's dying already at 3 years old.

Is this just how they are or do I need to do more investigating? I do have an air quality sensor on the HVAC bit I thought that only related to the auto recirc.

Thanks in advance

What setting do you have the system set to? I can’t recall their titles but IIRC the heating/cooling system has ‘profiles’ which I believe are there for economy purposes.

Look at the HVAC menu (centre dial, bottom half, ‘MENU’ button); that would be the first thing I’d check before then looking for faults.

As above you have the choice of 3 auto mode setting,  moderate, medium or intensive. My Kodiaq was set on the lowest setting at delivery.
