Hello! New Yeti owner

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I'm a recent retiree... just moved to the beautiful Welsh County of Pembrokeshire after 50-odd years of living and working in the English Midlands. This is my third Skoda...previous cars being a 1984 Estelle and a 2010 Octavia SE. I've been in a company car for the last few years - I worked for British Car Auctions as a territory based vehicle inspector- and always had a bit of a soft spot for the Yeti, so after setting a budget and looking around, I found my Yeti! She's a 2012 2.0 TDI Urban in Candy White. One previous owner, FSH and very well looked after. I've enjoyed putting a few miles on her over the last couple of weeks: the most recent trip being a 600 mile round trip to South Devon. I'm impressed with the ergonomics and happy with the fuel consumption: an average of 54mpg-and I wasn't driving like Miss Daisy. The car wants for nothing, but there are a couple of minor mods I want to do over the coming weeks. I shall be rummaging through the forums to see who's done what! I shall contribute if I feel I have something to add. I've spent the last 16 years in the vehicle leasing and disposal industry: if anyone has any questions or queries that they think I may be able to help with (Fair wear and tear appraisals, how to buy at auction...that sort of thing...) then please feel free to ask!
