Engine on octavia 2011 won't start

Featured Replies

Hi. My Skoda octavia is still on sorn because I've been away for months due to military commitments. I came back and replaced the battery and the engine turned on in the first twist of the key. My friend tried to repair the reservoir water pump. It was not working so he moved a few fuses around in the fuse box and all of a sudden the engine wouldn't come in. Any ideas Please.

Your "friend" has moved a critical fuse from the required location. As they're only golden that's as much as we can say.

You've got a fuse diagram on the fuse panel on the right side of the dashboard. Take off that cover, and make sure that all the fuses correlate to what is in the dash panel. Your "friend" probably shouldn't be working on cars.

There is often confusion over the fuse diagrams as to which way round you should be looking at the diagram. Perhaps that is where your friend has gone wrong.
