DAB antenna wiring

Featured Replies

Many car manufacturers use common looms and just make the appropriate connections at the assembly stage. You know how it goes, you're poking about in the wiring and there are all kinds of plugs going nowhere.

I am wanting to upgrade the antenna on my 2016 Yeti SE to DAB, and I'm hoping someone knows if the cable for a DAB antenna is present. It will save hours of work if this is the case.

Thanks in advance.

It won't be present. You'll need to add one I'm afraid :)

as langers2k says, there isn't one, however it's not too big a job to run a DAB cable in the headlining to the near side A-pillar then down under that into the back of the dash.

Using a cable access kit (set of rods - screwfix sell them) will help.

Don't forget, depending on what you're attaching to the VW antenna, the DAB antenna needs 12V power. I had the Alpine EZ-DAB in my Yeti which was brilliant piece of kit, but only had a 9V powered output
