Where are VCDS autoscans stored on my computer?

Featured Replies

Title says it all, this is a perennial Windows 7 problem for me, things get saved but it never tells me where and I can never find them again.

Did an autoscan today on my new Yeti that is crash damaged and the airbags have all deployed, I did see the filepath but have no short term memory and never write things down, I think its in notepad or something but as I said before I can never find files on this computer.

I need it so I can find the part number for the airbag control module to get the crash data removed.

I will ask another question just in case the anyone reading this will know.

Engine is in limp mode, no fault codes on engine control module, no others that I think would cause it but when you help me find the file I can post the autoscan, does nyone know definitively if an airbag control module with crash data and/or deployed airbags would put a Yeti into limp mode?

Thanks in advance.

C:/VCDS/logs or something very close to that.

When you find it, right click the folder and "send to" "desktop create a shortcut" that way you'll never be searching for them again

Found them there thanks Techie (and google!) and also to Nige for the very usefull tip, the desktop will soon be full of all the stuff  I manage to find!

Wahay I managed it!!!!

It might only be a basic computing thing to many but its a quantum leap to me!!!!
