Front bumper chrome strip

Featured Replies

Hi all, just received an original Skoda chrome front bumper trim from SuperSkoda - http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-3pcs-chrome-front-bumper-lids-original-Skoda-Autoas

Been reading instructions which state that certain sealants and activators need to be ordered and used - Sealant Terostat MS 9360, Activator Betaprime 5404 and Activator Terokal 150.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of fitting this part and what they used, I was expecting 3m tape which it has but didn't anticipate needing to order all the other stuff 😏

Cheers guys 👍

If the 3M tape on the chrome strip is the same as the stuff they use on their rear bumper protectors then you won't need the other stuff.

Preparation is key, make sure that the bumper is 100% clean from all contaminants. Invest in some alcohol wipes.

Pick a warm day too to give the 3M tape the best chance of properly adhering to the bumper.

Thanks yeah I was thinking that. There is 3m tape but just thin strips along the edges so Im tempted to add a bit more just to be sure. I have also emailed Superskoda to see what their view on it is. Cheers.
