My infotainment system is crashing regularly when connected to Android Auto through the usb. Particularly when I have Google maps on and I skip a few songs or make a call. The system freezes and then restarts itself.

 

This is the second phone where this is happening  so it must be the system.

 

Any Ideas!?

 

This is happening to mine, only since my service 🤔

This is happening to mine but with no apparent common cause. I am actually sat in Skoda now waiting for them to look at it as it’s done it three times today. Twice in 15 minutes!

If they give you an answer I'd love to hear it!

He plugged it in and got “some fault codes” out of it. He’s going to investigate further with Skoda and I’ll ring them on Monday to see if he’s got any clues and if they need it in again (it did the same in August but they denied finding a problem!)

Still no further forwards. The car is going in for the day again next week to see what happens. 
Interestingly (!) sometimes the air-con menu won’t come up at all. There are definitely gremlins in there somewhere...

Ok. It went into Skoda today (the first day they could fit it in with a courtesy car!)

I think they mumbled something about other people reporting the same problem and Skoda had released a software update. They have installed this so time will tell if it fixes the problem. It is only the second software update since I bought it nine months ago (!)
