Amundsen / Bluetooth issue

Featured Replies

Hi,

i wonder if anyone one has experienced the following - I will ring Skoda tomorrow but looking for advice to try (or the fix expected).

When I collected my new VRS challenge, the dealer couldnt connect my phone (iPhone 6), when we pressed phone on the unit the error “phone not available” appeared, dealer seemed confused, confessed he hadn’t seen the error before, so we tried again. Lots of car off, car on,  No joy.... so I turned my phone off, and we tried his..... no success, same error “phone not available” so we called for help from another salesman - tried his phone, No success...... eventually a technician came round performed a HU reset (pressing both buttons) - and it worked instantly to connect and all was good.

Fast forward to the last few days, I have noticed intermittently that the same error is occurring, you can tell when it’s not working as you get no battery or signal strength on the screen, press the phone button “phone not available” - HU reset sorts it.

When it’s connected all works flawlessly, when it’s connected via USB for smart link - that works flawlessly.

...... but the Bluetooth seems flaky.

Bluetooth is turned on my phone constantly.

Anyone had similar ?

Yep this as well, but my system is MIB1 where as yours will be MIB2.5, haven't tried HU reset yet, also effects my satnav.

The answer will probably be found here: https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com

From my investigations the iPhone 6 has limited connectivity with it. So it may be time for a new phone.
