vrs estate

Featured Replies

what the best vrs year to get

and what to look out for ?

Depending on your budget if you can stretch to the facelift from August 2017 with the 245PS petrol engine and DSG semi-auto box and a nice spec particularly the early Limited Edition ones with electric seats.

I Am really sorry but I did mean the fabia est vrs

Never mind... I assumed an octy as well.

For a fabia, I would've suggested a mk1 vrs but don't think they came as an estate.

So a late Mk2 Fabia vRS from 2014.  there are one First Registered in 2015.

Check if Service Campaign was needed and done on the DSG. '34H5' on DQ200's 2013-2015.

Check the service and warranty history.  (if timeing chain needed replacing would be something that might show.)

Windscreen, tyres, brake discs, paint, interior etc.

Check the MOT's and any advisories.

Brake fluid should have been changed.

My fault didn't read the detail at the top of the page. You are brave considering the Mk2 Fabia Vrs lots of problems with these cars. They look great value secondhand on paper but you need to be very lucky to get a good one.

Well that is where buying from a BRISKODA member with a good one for sale means that age might be less important.

I have all ways wanted one as long as they come out in 2010 but never afford to buy one and my fabia  tdi estate 230k

was best car I had lots of room for a work horse

but seen a white vrs estate for 4999 with 78k looks ok

One of the longest time period of cars I owned from new was a 2010 Fabia 1.6TDi Estate SE in white had it 4 years but only put 33,000 miles on it due to working just 3.5 miles away for 3 years. Very practical and cheap car to run I remember and I have a soft spot for the honest nature of these cars. Cost me £12,500 brand new with a few options. Good luck with your search and hope you bag a good one.;)

missing word

@gSvrs

The very last thing you do is buy them on looking good.  It is easy to make an untidy one look good.

All about the engine and the DSG.

Stick up the reg number.

You need to know if an original engine, a replaced engine or a replaced engine replaced again or a rebuilt one etc etc

There are good cars out there and the bad ones being sold over and over again in many cases.

I traded in one to a place that was RAC approved and gave a Warranty, 92 point inspection and Roadside Recovery.

It was up for sale within 10 minutes of me dropping it off and they had never seen it when we agreed the trade in.

Luckily it is still going about, maybe it got a new engine.

New MOT in August as well.

The MOT history looks to be just the usual.

Best check as best you can what the Service & Warranty history shows as much as is on the Skoda / Main Dealership system.

If it has had a new engine then not an issue.

It would be nice if there are reciepts for stuff having been done, like the water pump already replaced.

& Budget for doing a Service, Oil / Filters, Plugs etc.
